Credit Requirements

Minimum ECTS Credits Required: 60 ECTS credits

Your degree programme must include at least 60 ECTS credits in Ancient Greekor closely related modules. These credits must be from a Level 8 degree programme (as defined by the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland).

Note: Only ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits are accepted for Subject Declaration Forms. Credits from other systems (such as CATS or US credits) cannot be used.

Essential Areas of Study

All essential areas are required. You must cover all of the following areas:

  • The Ancient Greek Language including the Study of Grammar and Syntax
  • History of Ancient Greece
  • Art & Literature of Ancient Greece

Special Notes: Minimum 10 ECTS credits at third-year level or higher

Year Level Requirement: Ancient Greek must be studied up to and including third-year level or higher.

Eligibility Requirements
